About the United Methodist Church

Song of Life may be a young congregation in Queen Creek, but as part of The United Methodist Church we are a congregation with a long and inspiring history. Since the beginning of the Methodist movement - a reform movement led by Anglican priest John Wesley in the 1700s - the people called "Methodist" have been actively seeking to care for the spiritual and physical welfare of people around the world. Indeed, John Wesley was fond of saying, "the world is my parish."

Within our United Methodist structure, each geographical region of the world is divided into different "annual conferences," to help with the oversight and administration of our mission to "make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world." Song of Life is part of the Desert Southwest Conference of The United Methodist Church.
