Disciples Sunday School Class

Our Disciples Sunday School Class is a class for adults that meets each Sunday morning at 10:00am at Cortina Elementary School. Join us for biblical study and lively discussions!

Beginning on Sunday, September 12, the Disciples Class is beginning a study of the book "Experiencing God: Knowing and Doing the Will of God." 

God is inviting Christians to experience Him in an intimate love relationship through which He reveals His will, His ways, and His work.   Carefully listening to God's voice will anchor you in His Plan, and set you free to live it with boldness and freedom.

"At one point the publisher suggested we call my work, "Knowing God," but I said absolutely not.   My concern was that God's people were already immersed in Bible studies and Christian books that gave them an enormous amount of information about God.   As a result, sincere Christians were coming to church every week and learning more and more about God, but they were not experiencing Him.  To many, He was simply a faraway God to be believed in, a doctrine to affirm, or an invisible deity to whom they recited their prayers.  They needed to know He is a Person with whom Christians can enjoy an intimate, growing, loving fellowship."

The study of "Experiencing God" will be done in 5 parts. The first part, "Knowing God," will run from September 12 through October 17.
