Make a Difference through Song of Life Missions!

Song of Life United Methodist Church is active in a variety of ministries and missions reaching out to the community and world. Below you will find information and links to the missions ministries of our congregation, as we seek to live out our Methodist heritage of a social gospel - making a positive difference in the world around us.

  • Good Samaritan Care Packages
These care packages are available each Sunday to be given to individuals in need that you may encounter during your day. Assembled by our SoL Kids, these include non-perishable food, water, and some other items for the homeless.

  • SoL Food Box Ministry
Each quarter, Song of Life gathers non-perishable foods to distribute to families in need in our community. Each quarter we help families through Pan De Vida and local schools, as well as military families with members deployed overseas.
  • Habitat For Humanity
    (The Mighty United Methodist Coalition)
Each Spring Song of Life joins with other United Methodist Churches to build a home for a family.

Other groups/missions Song of Life supports during the year:

  • Operation Wounded Warrior
Each Fall, veterans and motorcycle enthusiasts gather together to support Operation Wounded Warrior, an outreach sposored and supported by the American Legion Riders of the Duane Ellsworth branch of the Queen Creek American Legion, by which people personally deliver items to wounded service personnel in need and welcome them home. Charlie Lang, a member of Song of Life, will be particiapting in OWW for the second year this October.  Check out the link to Operation Wounded Warrior on the drop down menu under "You CAN Make a Difference"  to learn more about this community outreach program and see how you can help.

  • Pan De Vida
Pan De Vida is a local organization seeking to offer help to a variety of people in need in the community of Queen Creek. Pan De Vida offers medical assistance (through a monthly free clinic), assistance for the elderly (including transportation), and help for the poor. Pan De Vida can always use help. If you would like to offer your help, please contact Mary Gloria.

  • House of Refuge (Laundromat)
We support House of Refuge East in a variety of ways, including with the recent building of a laundromat facility.
