At Song of Life United Methodist Church, our aim is to help people live in faith everyday. All that we do seeks to create a safe and inspiring place where people can encounter God and be empowered by the Holy Spirit to live boldly after the example of Jesus Christ. Spiritual growth and discipleship are at the core of all that we do.
We believe that all people are called and gifted by God to be in ministry (see 1 Corinthians 12 , for example). To that end, Song of Life seeks to develop and offer a variety of ways that people can grow spiritually and minister to others as they grow in faith.

Want to help start a Women's group?
Historically Women's groups are the backbone of the church. They are the hub of activity, they are they go-gettters, and they are the movers and shakers. And not suprisingly, they are the center of communications (What Woman doesn't like to talk?!) Currently we have a core group of 4 dedicated women who want to start a Woman based Ministry/group and would like your help. Women's Groups are powerful entities in a church. Just for example we can have a bake sale to raise money, start a babysitting co-op, take charge of the care meal deliveries, create unity among all the Women of the church regardless of age or stage in tlife. Together we can make great things happen in the life of SoL. Help us make this happen. Anything and everything is possible when you band together and work for a common good, that of SHARE, CARE, GROW, and GO! Talk to Jan King, Connie Stanfield, or Stacey Lang if interested.

Tables of 8 :
Tables of 8 is a new church wide fellowship opportunity for adults. This is a new and comfortable way to meet and get to know other members of Song of Life. During the month of August, individuals and couples are invited to sign up to participate, and will be put together into groups of 8. These groups will gather once a month during the fall in each other’s homes for dinner and conversation. Don’t miss this new opportunity! Sign up today.
LIFE Groups
LIFE Groups are at the core of our congregation. Short for Living In Faith Everyday, LIFE Groups are ongoing small groups of people meeting together weekly to grow in faith as they:
- Worship God (through devotions, songs, Bible study, and other means)
- Share about Jesus (as they share of their experience with Christ)
- Care about others (through a community of love)
- Grow as disciples (learning and living after the example of Jesus)
- Go in service (to care for the needs of the world)
Life Groups take a variety of forms in order to meet the needs of both individuals and the groups to which they belong. Some age-specific LIFE Groups at Song of Life UMC include our SoL Kids and and SoL Teens Ministries.
Individual LIFE Groups meet at a variety of times during the week. We are often creating new groups in new areas, based on location or special interests of members.
Other Small Groups
Song of Life also offers a variety of other small groups. These differ from LIFE Groups as they may meet less frequently than every week, or may only meet for a specified period of time. These groups include limited studies (such as our August, 2008 study on The Screwtape Letters and our October, 2008 study on The Five Practices of Fruitful Congregations), fellowship groups (such as "Tables of 8 "), and other groups that meet for a designated period of time.
