At Song of Life we have a vision of being centered in WORSHIP, we SHARE Jesus with those we meet, CARE about each other in a community of love, GROW as disciples of Jesus Christ, and GO into the world in service. In following the CARE and GO aspects of that vision we are actively involved in a variety of on-going and regularly re-occuring mission events.
SoL Food Box Ministry
Each quarter, Song of Life gathers non-perishable foods to distribute to families in need in our community. Each quarter we help families through Pan De Vida and local schools, as well as military families with members deployed overseas.
- Habitat For Humanity
(The Mighty Methodist Coalition)
Each Spring Song of Life joins with other United Methodist Churches to build a home for a family.
Operation Wounded Warrior
Each Fall, veterans and motorcycle enthusiasts gather together to support Operation Wounded Warrior, an outreach by which people personally deliver items to wounded service personnel in need and welcome them home. Charlie Lang, a member of Song of Life, will be particiapting in OWW for the second year this October.
SoL Kids Care Our SoL kids are proudly involved in many mission projects of their own. They have collected coins for Habitat for Humanity (See above for link). They raised money for the Heifer Project International. They make and distribute Samaratin Bags for the adults to give away to the homeless we see. We are proud of them for their efforts and caring for the people around them.
